Onyx by Jennifer L. Armentrout
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Onyx by Jennifer L. Armentrout was amazing.I can't express how much i liked it.Yes,it was a bit better then the first one,but i gotta admit that i can't choose between Jennifer's books.Jennifer, you are brilliant!
I loved every chapter, but what i liked the most was the way Daemon acted around Katy.
When i started reading Onyx i never expected to jump up and down everytime i read about how Daemon tried to show Katy that he was serious, but what left me speechless staring at the book is what happened with Katy.Yes,i thought it was weird what she did in Obsidian, but now i'm totally shocked.Good god!In the end i couldn't put the book down,so i almost finished it in one day(let's say 5-6 hours). But how can i?Jennifer's books are addictive and when Daemon is involved, try to ignore that.I couldn't.
There were moments when i wanted to strangle Katy for being so stubborn, but i know that she's trying to be careful.
Most people think that Obsidian and Onyx are just two books about a girl and an alien.Well, let me tell you something:this books are freaking incredible.Daemon is not just an alien. He's a freaking hot alien who lost his brother and he is trying to protect his sister and the other luxens. But that is not all!
Even if he never said,he loves Katy.Yep,i'm sure of that.Or maybe i want that?I don't know.
This book was the perfect beginning of something amazing and beautiful.
I mean we learn a lot more about DOD and what they do,about Dawson and Bethany, and of course about the connection between Daemon and Katy.
I laughted out loud every time Katy did soemthing because she couldn't control her powers.Yes,it was weird for her,but funny for me.
Blake?I never liked him.Why,oh,why Katy didn't listened to Daemon?Well,because she's stubborn!
Anyway.I'm not the kind of person who starts yelling because something happened like i wanted, but this time i did it!Gosh..And that was...a little odd.But i was excited and happy.I blame you,Jennifer, for that!
Despite Katy's stubborness, everything was amazing,but...there is always a but.The way things happened with Blake(i never liked him anyway) reminded me that everything Jennifer tries to complicate everything between Katy and Daemon, they always end up together. But that's the beauty in this book. They fight and try to kill each other, but they can't get enough of each other.
It was a pleasure tor ead this book and i'm sure i will do iti again and again until Opal will be published.
I love how Jennifer wrote everything. How she described the scenes and the characters. But what i loved the most was what happened between Katy and Daemon.
It's funny how they react,so why not talk about it ,right? The hybrid and the alien..It couldn't be better. But the truth is they are two people who are trying to survive and they stopped running from what they want.
