Cut & Run Series Book Two - Sequel to Cut & Run Six months after nearly losing their lives to a serial killer in New York City, FBI Special Agents Ty Grady and Zane Garrett are suffering through something almost as frightening: the monotony of desk duty. When they're ordered to take a vacation for the good of everyone's sanity, Ty bites the bullet and takes Zane home with him to West Virginia, hoping the peace and quiet of the mountains will give them the chance to explore the explosive attraction they've so far been unable to reconcile with their professional partnership. Ty and Zane, along with Ty's father and brother, head up into the Appalachian mountains for a nice, relaxing hike deep into the woods... where no one will hear them scream. They find themselves facing danger from all directions: unpredictable weather, the unrelenting mountains, wild animals, fellow hikers with nothing to lose, and the most terrifying challenge of all. Each other.
Well, finally i got to read more about Ty and his past!It wasn't all pretty and pink, but at least some of those things were a little good.
After everything that happened in "Cut&Run",i really wanted to read more about Ty and Zane, about what will happen with them(or between them),but i never expected this.
Once again i was happy to read about Ty and Zane.Mainly, because i think they are both good agents and it was really interesting reading about how they worked together in the tri-killer case..
Well, now just think about this:Danger.Crazy familly(if you know how Ty is,then you could at least imagine a little how his :mother, father, brother and grandfather are).Zane.The past. And a legend about a treasure hidden in the mountains.Double Yikes.
I enjoyed reading about Ty's familly. They made me laugh, but i disliked his father because of how he treated Ty..The rest..Ha!Too hard to describe.
What i liked the most was the fact that Ty's cranky attitude returned-not entirely.Too bad,i miss that.
Zane-all i can say about him is that, he once again showed me that he was capable of doing anything to keep Ty alive.Perfect? Not really.Good partner?Hell yes!
Neither Ty ,nor Zane are perfect, but when they are working together-they forget about insults and their bickering- and focuss on what they have to do.That's what i really liked about those two.The way they worked.
Even now, when both weren't exactly like at the beginning, they are constantly insulting each other, but there were moments, intense moments between them.Even if those moments were when they looked at each other,or when bad things happened. Those moments proved that in the future something very good and serious could happen between them. And i hope so,because i don't even know how many times they almost died.
Deuce,Ty's brother,he was exactly what Zane needed.A shrink, but a good one. That's not the only reason i mentioned Deuce.I really liked him and i hope that i will read more about him in the next books.Earl Grady, yeah,i said above that i disliked him because of how he treated Ty,but at some point i started to think that even if he was harsh with both,Ty and Deuce,he knew what he was doing.
The eeeend was perfect.Yeah,i read that scene twice and i grinned like a lunatic.Couldn't help it.
It's hard not to want to write more, and more, and more about this two agents and what happened in the book.About they adventure(i'm not sure i can call that an adventure....) in the mountains and those hard moments, but hell the rest was pretty good.
