They say it’s the quiet ones you have to worry about, and she was quiet, very quiet—when she wasn’t busy despising me with a burning passion.
Ringo ‘Ringer’ James has a no-strings-attached policy.
Love them, leave them, and remain the eternal bachelor.
After a summer in which every one of his mates has succumbed to settling down, or so it seemed, Ringer is on the lookout for a quick exit. Having had enough of the stomach-turning love fest witnessed over the past three months, Ringer jumps at the opportunity to help out his mate, Max, by heading to Max’s dad’s property for a working holiday.
It’s just what he’s looking for. A remote, dusty homestead in Ballan, with only hard work, a cold beer and a comfy bed to worry about – no women.
Until Miranda Henry.
The privately educated daughter of his boss has returned home from overseas and things are about to get very complicated, very fast. As summer draws to its end, Ringer is about to learn that sometimes attraction defies all logic, and that there really is such a thing as ‘enemies with benefits.’
When it comes to books written by C.J Duggan all i can say is that i love them all, those who are published.
Yep,this time what i read was too short for me but it was awesome! Why?Because it was about Ringer.
I admit that i never thought much about Ringer.Yes,i always knew that he was a part of the "Onslow Boys",but honestly i never expected to read his story and end up wishing i could read more about him.
C.J.,i want more please!
Now ,after i read about Ringer i have to admit that i like him.He was charming and good looking(well,if you only knew how i imagined him ...).
Even if i i never imagined that this day will come,i admit that Ringer made me laugh and smile a lot.He is a true "Onslow Boy",even if everything that happened in this book was in Ballan ,and not Onslow. It was funny to read how Ringer got under Miranda's skin.I laughed out loud every time something happened between them.
You know how those hate/love relationship start ,right?Well, this was exactly what happened here. But let's just say that it was awesome.
Miranda Henry's life was pretty much good-that if you don't count the fact that she had to return to Moira(her home) for a few weeks. In Ballan everyone knows who Miranda Henry ,so nothing is simple at all for her.
I admit that at first my opinion about her wasn't so good, but step by step it changed and i started thinking that she was ok.Well, every time i read a book like this one i end up changing my opinion too many times..Yikes.
But i loved the book and i'm a little sad because it was too short.I want more!I want to read more about Ringer and Miranda...and everything!
I can say that even if it was short everything was perfect.Funny and perfect, the kind of book you must read!
